The Kulanu Beyachad project is a project that has been developed by our Director, Dr Hedva Abel, with the aim of bringing everyone together of all ages to socialise, enjoy good food and to chat or just relax in the company of others over Shabbat.
Recently we have been delighted to host two very interesting Guest speakers, Rabbi Benji Rickman and the newly elected President of the Board of Deputies (BOD), Mr Philip Rosenberg. Anna Silver, Education Officer for the BOD and Sara Radivan, Regional Manager for the Board of Deputies, and Sara’s husband Barry, joined us during his recent visit to Manchester and enjoyed an informal conversation with all that attended. We extend our thanks to both Phil Rosenberg and Rabbi Benji Rickman for their support and encouragement.
The food project continues to provide fresh fruit, vegetables and fish when required to the single families supported by Eema Care.
The weekly hubs taking place at Higher Prestwich Hebrew Synagogue continue with a programme and often a spontaneous magic show is conducted by one of the members of the shul who is a regular attendee.
Moving forward we are planning to develop separate women’s and men’s peer groups. Please keep an eye open on our Social media page for this information.
The JCFT are also planning an interfaith event in the coming months so watch this space
If anyone is interested in joining these events, have suggestions for any gaps in the community for families or individuals or wish to make a donation to support the work of the JCFT, please email adminteam@jcfoundationtrust.org.uk
